Licenensed Professional Counselor
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor or LPC, LMHC-A, LCSW, to join our team in Illinois. As a LCPC or LPC , you will provide mental health counseling services to individuals, couples, families, and groups, helping them navigate through life's challenges and improve their overall well-being.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' emotional, mental, and behavioral health
- Develop personalized treatment plans based on clients' specific needs and goals
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions to clients using evidence
-based therapeutic techniques and interventions
- Address a wide range of mental health issues, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, trauma, substance abuse, relationship problems, and self-esteem issues
- Teach clients coping skills and strategies to manage stress, improve communication, and enhance their overall functioning
- Monitor clients' progress during counseling sessions and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers, to provide comprehensive care for clients
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards
- Stay informed about current trends and advancements in the field of mental health counseling through continuing education and professional development activities
Requirements:
- Must hold a valid license as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LCPC, LPC, LCSW,) in the state of Illinois
- Master's degree in Counseling or a related field from an accredited institution
- Demonstrated experience in providing counseling services to individuals, couples, families, and groups
- Strong knowledge of various therapeutic techniques and interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport and build therapeutic relationships with clients
- Empathy, compassion, and a non-judgmental attitude towards clients from diverse backgrounds
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines and professional standards
- Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other technology for documentation and communication purposes
